How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    German Payroll Specialist 12 Month FTC

    Role Overview

    Join our EMEA People team to deliver a professional, accurate, and confidential payroll service. You will own the end-to-end German payroll process and support wider EMEA payroll management through our outsourced providers. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth operational delivery and supporting our upcoming payroll transformation projects.

    Key Responsibilities

    Manage German Payroll: Own end-to-end processing for Germany in coordination with our outsourced provider.
    Ensure Compliance: Complete all German and EMEA statutory returns, tax filings, and legal reporting.
    Audit Support: Lead internal and external payroll audits across assigned EMEA countries.
    Month-End Finance: Deliver precise payroll accounting and month-end reconciliation procedures.
    Data Management: Input HRIS updates and email instructions accurately into the payroll system.
    Query Resolution: Resolve complex employee and HR payroll queries directly and confidently.
    Legislative Updates: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of German labour law, tax, and social security changes.
    Project Delivery: Support a major payroll transformation project and transition to a new global vendor.Skills and Qualifications

    German Payroll Expertise: Strong, current knowledge of German payroll legislation, tax, and social security.
    EMEA Experience: At least 2 years of experience handling payrolls within the EMEA region.
    Vendor Management: Proven experience working with third-party outsourced payroll providers.
    Bargaining Agreements: Experience navigating complex European company policies and collective bargaining agreements.
    Tech Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel) and experience with HRIS platforms.
    Communication: Excellent stakeholder management with strong verbal and written communication skills.
