£27,500–£30,000 | Nottingham | Monday-Friday | 10:00–18:00
We're recruiting a Transport Compliance Coordinator for an established environmental and recycling business with multiple sites across the East Midlands, but based out their office in Nottingham.
This is a key role supporting the Transport Manager and taking ownership of the day-to-day administration and organisation of fleet compliance.
It's ideal for someone with transport administration, fleet, compliance or HGV experience who enjoys keeping things organised and spotting problems before they become problems.
The Role
As the Transport Compliance Coordinator, in Nottingham, you'll be responsible for keeping driver and vehicle compliance information accurate and up to date, including:
* Scheduling PMIs, MOTs and vehicle maintenance.
* Monitoring and managing vehicle defects.
* Monitoring Driver Hours, tachographs and infringements.
* Booking vehicles into garages and maintenance providers.
* Managing compliance paperwork and records.
* Supporting driver briefings and debriefs.
* Checking that defects are correctly reported and followed through.
* Processing invoices and purchase orders.
* Liaising with drivers, garages and internal teams.
A big part of the role will be helping the business move away from its current paper-based compliance system.
You'll have the opportunity to introduce a more effective electronic system — whether that's Excel, scanning/document management or another practical solution — to make it easier to track MOTs, inspections, defects and compliance documentation.
What We're Looking For
You don't need to be a Transport Manager.
We're interested in people with experience in transport administration, fleet administration, transport compliance, logistics coordination or a similar role.
You'll need to be organised, confident using IT and comfortable dealing with drivers and maintenance providers.
Knowledge of Driver Hours, tachographs, vehicle defects or O' Licence compliance would be advantageous.
Why Apply?
This Transport Compliance Coordinator in Nottingham is a genuinely important role within the transport operation. You'll work closely with the Transport Manager and have the opportunity to take ownership of compliance and improve the way the department operates.
