We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with a strong technical or engineering background, looking to take ownership of complex New Product Introduction (NPI) projects within an innovative manufacturing environment.
Our client is a market-leading engineering organisation that designs and delivers innovative safety technology solutions for commercial vehicles and mobile machinery. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Technical Project Manager to support the successful delivery of engineering projects from concept through to production.
The Role
As Technical Project Manager, you will play a key role in managing NPI projects, developing project management processes, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope and to the required quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing end-to-end engineering and NPI projects
Developing and maintaining project plans, documentation and reporting
Coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams and stakeholders
Supporting product development, lifecycle management and process improvements
Managing project risks, changes, timelines and delivery challenges
Building strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal teams
Driving improvements in project delivery methodologies
About You
You will be an experienced Project Manager with a background in a technical, engineering or manufacturing environment.
You will ideally have:
Proven experience managing engineering projects or NPI programmes
Experience working with multidisciplinary engineering teams
Strong understanding of product development and lifecycle management
Experience working with OEM or Tier 1 customers
Formal project management training (PRINCE2, APM or similar)
Technical qualification (HNC/HND, engineering/science discipline or equivalent)
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
A proactive approach with excellent organisational skills
