How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Junior Architectural Technologist

    Location: Manchester

    Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 (DOE)

    Our client is a well-established, design-led architectural practice specialising in high-end residential projects across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Junior Architectural Technologist to join their talented Manchester-based team.

    This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious graduate or junior professional looking to develop their career within a collaborative practice renowned for delivering exceptional bespoke homes and luxury residential developments.

    The Role

    Working alongside experienced Architects and Architectural Technologists, you'll support the delivery of prestigious residential projects from concept through to construction. This role offers genuine career progression, mentoring, and the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across all RIBA stages.

    Responsibilities

    Assist in the production of technical drawings and construction packages.

    Support the delivery of projects through planning and technical design stages.

    Produce accurate drawings using AutoCAD and/or Revit.

    Work closely with senior team members to develop technical solutions.

    Liaise with consultants, contractors and clients where required.

    Ensure drawings comply with current UK Building Regulations and industry standards.

    Attend project and site meetings when necessary.

    About You

    Degree or HNC/HND in Architectural Technology or a related discipline.

    1-2 years' experience within an architectural practice (graduates with relevant placement experience will also be considered).

    Experience using AutoCAD is essential; Revit experience would be advantageous.

    A genuine interest in high-end residential architecture.

    Strong technical understanding and attention to detail.

    Excellent communication and organisational skills.

    Enthusiastic, proactive and eager to learn.
