Our client is currently recruiting for a Support Assistant to work in the Rochdale area at a service that provides supported accommodation for adults aged 18+ affected by homelessness, including those with low to medium mental health needs and/or an offending history.
* 37.5 hours per week
* Working across Monday - Sunday on a rota basis
* Shifts: early and late
* Temporary cover is required until 31st October 2026
* £14.76 per hour (£13.17 per hour, with £1.59 holiday pay)

Key responsibilities:
* Support the day-to-day running of the service
* Assist with the delivery of personalised support and move-on plans
* Provide day-to-day support with tenancy and housing-related matters
* Maintain accurate, up-to-date customer records and case notes
* Support the referral and onboarding process for new customers
* Carry out a range of administrative and operational tasks
* Respond to telephone, reception, and general enquiries
* Promote customer independence by signposting to relevant services
* Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and risk management procedures
* Work collaboratively with colleagues, customers, and partner agencies
What we’re looking for:
* Experience working with vulnerable and diverse customer groups or individuals with complex needs
* Experience working in a team and communicating positively with other people
* Experience organising tasks and planning accordingly whilst dealing with people
* A team player with a caring, empathetic, flexible and resilient, can-do attitude
* Able to use initiative and have confidence to make decisions
* Basic administrative and IT skills maintain records
Further requirements:
In order to register with Central Recruitment Services for temporary agency work, candidates must meet the following criteria:
* Current valid right to work in the UK
* Minimum 12 months’ of paid experience in a front line social care role within the last 3 years* (unless recruitment criteria states otherwise)
* A fully enhanced DBS either registered on the DBS update service or issued within the last 12 months, or willingness to apply for one through Central (at a cost of £60)
* Employment or education history to cover the last 5 years which can be verified through the referencing process
