Deliver Principal Designer duties in accordance with the CDM Regulations 2015.
Undertake Building Regulations Principal Designer (BRPD) duties under the Building Safety Act.
Advise clients, designers and contractors on statutory compliance, design risk management and Building Safety requirements.
Review design information to ensure compliance with current Building Regulations and relevant legislation.
Prepare and review pre-construction information and health & safety documentation.
Attend design team meetings and provide technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
Carry out site visits and inspections where required.
Work across a broad range of projects including social housing, High-Risk Residential Buildings (HRBs), healthcare, commercial, industrial, insurance reinstatement, care homes and new build developments.
Liaise directly with clients, consultants and contractors to ensure successful project delivery.
Play a key role in supporting the continued growth of the Principal Designer and Building Safety team.Principal Designer Requirements
Experience working as a Principal Designer (CDM), Building Regulations Principal Designer (BRPD), or within a related technical construction role.
Applications are welcomed from Architects, Architectural Technologists, Building Surveyors, Building Control Surveyors, Design Managers and similar construction professionals.
Good understanding of the CDM Regulations 2015 and/or the Building Safety Act.
Experience working on residential, healthcare, commercial, industrial or public sector projects would be advantageous.
Strong communication skills with the ability to build lasting client relationships.
Full UK Driving Licence.
AutoCAD experience would be advantageous, while Revit knowledge would also be welcomed as the business continues to evolve.
