About the Role
Veritas Education is working in partnership with a supportive and ambitious secondary school in the Bradford area to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher for a full-time, long-term position starting in September 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving English department committed to delivering engaging lessons that inspire a love of reading, writing, and literature. The school is seeking a teacher who can motivate students to achieve their full potential and contribute positively to the wider school community.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and high-quality English Language and English Literature lessons across KS3 and KS4
Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum
Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all students
Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback
Maintain high expectations for behaviour, attendance, and achievement
Support students in developing their literacy, analytical, and communication skills
Contribute to departmental planning and enrichment activities
The Ideal Candidate
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Has experience teaching English in a secondary school setting
Demonstrates strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature
Has excellent classroom management and organisational skills
Is passionate about raising attainment and inspiring young people
Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
ECTs are encouraged to apply
