How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

This is an unparalleled opportunity to join a team that is redefining how content is produced and delivered, making a direct impact on cutting-edge live editorial workflows and ensuring the highest standards of quality and creativity reach audiences globally.

This is a 12-month contract, offering up to £352 per day – 40 hrs/week (PAYE). The selected candidate will be expected to work nights, weekends, and other off-hours as needed to support productions across time zones and around the clock. The shortlisted candidates will be contacted as soon as possible.

    About the Role

Are you a highly skilled and experienced MPS Support & Deployment Specialist passionate about pushing the boundaries of live production? We are seeking an individual to join our Live Production Editorial Support team, where you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless execution of dynamic live editorial workflows. This position is at the forefront of innovation, demanding a deep understanding of remote production environments, live streaming, and intricate editorial processes. You will be instrumental in maintaining high-quality standards and providing best-in-class support, directly contributing to the creative vision and success of groundbreaking content. If you thrive under pressure, possess exceptional client service skills, and are eager to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment, this is your chance to make a significant impact.

    What You’ll Do

    • Serve as the operational front line, providing empathetic, high-trust support to quickly unblock productions and protect their creative time, employing a holistic troubleshooting approach.
    • Actively monitor automated file transfers and system health, proactively identifying and remediating potential issues before they impact productions.
    • Provide deep subject-matter expertise for core post-production tools, including those related to media ingestion, asset management, conform processes, and visual effects pulls, as well as emerging tools for content processing.
    • Systematically collect critical signals and feedback from productions and daily interactions to inform continuous improvement.
    • Partner closely with Product and Engineering teams to identify and prioritise bug fixes and develop essential troubleshooting tools.
    • Collaborate with production technology teams, leveraging your insights to provide valuable context, cultural understanding, and workflow feedback directly into product development.

    Required Skills & Experience

    • Experience in post-production support, process management at a vendor, or studio/network support.
    • Deep knowledge of content creation processes, on-set production, and post-production services.
    • Familiarity with industry-standard production and post-production software and workflows (e.g., dailies, visual effects pulls, conform processes, review and approval), particularly their color science aspects.
    • Command-line proficiency and a basic understanding of APIs and how to interact with them.
    • Understanding of JSON, XML, CSV, and other commonly used data formats, as well as industry standards like ALE, EDL, MHL/ASC-MHL, and FDL.
    • Familiarity with different storage infrastructures (local drives, SANs, cloud storage).
    • Ability to work nights, weekends, and other off-hours as needed to support productions across time zones and around the clock.
    • Strong background in media engineering, with a focus on remote editorial production environments.
    • Deep understanding of remote PCoIP technologies, live streaming, and editorial workflows.
    • Exceptional client service skills, quick learning ability, and adaptability to changing needs.
    • Self-motivation and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
