How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    About Arksen

Arksen is a contemporary design and engineering company that builds luxury explorer vessels, performance apparel, and meticulously curated experiences for modern explorers.

Our mission goes beyond building world-class yachts; we are dedicated to ocean conservation. Through initiatives like 10% for the Ocean campaign, we leverage our fleet to support vital scientific research, education, and environmental preservation.

    About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Marine Marketing Specialist to join our team. Reporting directly to the Marketing Lead, you will be responsible for the hands-on execution of our marketing activities across all channels, ensuring our brand reaches and resonates with our target audience within the marine and maritime sector.

If you have a background in marketing or deep roots in the marine industry and a knack for executing multi-channel campaigns seamlessly, we want to hear from you.

    • Vendor Collaboration: Liaise with external agencies, printers, and media partners to ensure marketing materials are delivered on time and to specification.

    Qualifications & Skills
    • Proven, hands-on experience in a marketing role, OR a strong professional background in the marine industry.
    • Hands-on experience with marketing tools such as email platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, HubSpot), CMS (WordPress), and social media scheduling software.
    • Shopify experience a bonus.
    • Strong copywriting, editing, and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.

    • 25 days of annual leave, plus bank holidays.
    • Vitality Life Insurance.
    • Company shutdown period between Christmas and New Year.
