How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    About Us:

At Helio Display Materials, we're crafting the fundamental materials that will shape the future of displays.

Using the power of perovskites, these enabling materials facilitate the creation of displays that are not only brighter and more vibrant but also operate with remarkably low power consumption.

Our team is dedicated to pioneering the future of colour. As we accelerate, we are looking for talented individuals to join us on the next phase of our journey.

    About the Role:

You will be joining a skilled and experienced team supporting the small-scale production of materials for our perovskite nanocrystal technology. This is an excellent opportunity for either a laboratory technician looking to develop their career or a recent chemistry graduate seeking hands-on industrial experience within a fast-paced and innovative start-up environment.

Working alongside experienced chemists, you will gain practical experience in materials synthesis, quality control, and pilot-line production while contributing to the development and scale-up of our technology.

    Our Values:

    • Knowledge
    • Driven
    • Unity

    Responsibilities:

    • As part of our Product Development team, you will be working with senior chemists to support the company pilot line.
    • Operate small scale production of perovskites nanocrystals and dispersion following agreed recipes and process.
    • Synthesise and purify organic ligands at small scale.
    • Performing perovskite and organic materials quality control measurement.
    • Supporting laboratories operations.
    • Keeping and recording detailed records of production batches and process and quality control checks.
    • Ensuring equipment is cleaned and maintained.
    • Adhering to all safety protocols, and standard operating procedures.
    • Work collaboratively with the scale up team to support continuous improvement.

    Experience & Attributes:

We welcome applications from laboratory technicians and recent graduates who are enthusiastic about developing their skills.

    Essential:

    • HNC/HND, Bachelor's degree, or equivalent qualification in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
    • Practical laboratory experience gained through industry, university laboratory courses, research projects, or placements.
    • Understanding of good laboratory practice and health and safety procedures.
    • Ability to follow detailed experimental procedures accurately and produce reproducible results.
    • Good attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
    • Well organised, proactive, and eager to learn.

    Advantage:

    • Experience working in an industrial or research chemistry laboratory.
    • Experience with chemical synthesis and purification techniques.
    • Familiarity with common analytical or optical characterisation methods.
    • Experience in materials scale-up, pilot-line production, or manufacturing environments.
