About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Installation Assessor / Tutor to support the delivery of Level 3 Electrical Installation Apprenticeships across the East Midlands region.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified electrical educator to join a growing training team, supporting apprentices throughout their learning journey and helping develop the next generation of skilled electricians.
The role will involve a blend of workplace assessment, learner support, progress reviews, and technical tutoring, working closely with employers and apprentices to ensure successful completion of their apprenticeship programme.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Assessing and supporting learners undertaking the Level 3 Electrical Installation Apprenticeship Standard.
- Delivering technical teaching and coaching sessions to support apprentice development.
- Conducting workplace assessments and reviewing learner progress against required standards.
- Supporting apprentices to develop the practical skills, knowledge, and behaviours required within the electrical industry.
- Working closely with employers, learners, and internal teams to monitor progress and achievement.
- Maintaining accurate learner records, assessment documentation, and e-portfolio systems.
- Ensuring delivery meets awarding organisation, funding, and quality requirements.
- Providing guidance, feedback, and support to learners throughout their apprenticeship journey.
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Recognised electrical qualification (Level 3 or equivalent).
- Occupational competence within the electrical installation industry.
- Qualified Assessor award (TAQA, CAVA, A1, D32/D33 or equivalent).
- Experience assessing and/or delivering Level 3 Electrical Installation apprenticeships.
- Strong knowledge of current electrical standards and industry practices.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and learner support skills.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the East Midlands region.
Desirable:
- Teaching qualification (AET, PTLLS, Cert Ed or equivalent).
- IQA qualification.
- Experience delivering technical training within an apprenticeship environment.
