How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Are you a Family Solicitor looking to take the next step in your career within a highly respected and award-winning team?


    An excellent opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Associate to join a well-established Family department recognised for its high-quality work and supportive culture. Working alongside experienced Partners and Senior Associates, you'll gain exposure to a broad range of complex and rewarding family matters while enjoying genuine opportunities for progression and professional development.


    This role offers excellent client contact from day one, allowing you to manage your own caseload while supporting on high-value and technically challenging matters. You'll join a collaborative team that prides itself on delivering exceptional client service and building long-lasting client relationships.


    The Role

    You'll advise clients across a varied caseload of private family matters, including:


    • Financial remedy proceedings
    • Private children disputes
    • Complex and international children matters
    • High-net-worth and sensitive family cases


    Alongside managing your own matters, you'll work closely with senior lawyers on more complex cases, helping to deliver practical, commercial and client-focused solutions.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Managing a varied caseload of family law matters from instruction through to conclusion
    • Advising clients on financial remedy and private children proceedings
    • Preparing court applications, witness statements, financial disclosure and other legal documentation
    • Supporting Partners on complex and cross-border family matters
    • Instructing and liaising with counsel, experts and other professional advisers
    • Building and maintaining strong client relationships, delivering exceptional levels of client care
    • Ensuring accurate file management, time recording and billing
    • Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider business
    • Contributing to business development through networking, marketing initiatives, articles, podcasts and industry events


    The successful candidate will be an experienced Family Solicitor with a solid grounding in both financial and children work. You'll be confident managing your own caseload while also enjoying working as part of a collaborative team on more complex matters.


    You'll also have:

    • Strong technical knowledge of private family law
    • Ideally 3 years' PQE in private Family Law
    • Excellent communication and drafting skills
    • A proactive, organised and solutions-focused approach
    • Outstanding client care and relationship management skills
    • A genuine interest in business development and helping to grow the department
