How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Contract Type: Full-time

    About Hex Energy

Hex Energy is a specialist in the design, installation, and maintenance of ground and air source heat pump systems across the UK. With in-house design expertise and one of only a few Certified Geo Exchange Design (CGD) engineers in the country, we deliver high-performance renewable energy solutions for both residential and commercial sectors. We pride ourselves on quality, innovation, and attention to detail throughout the lifecycle of our systems.

    Role Overview

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Project Supervisor to oversee the delivery of our commercial ground source heat pump installations on-site. You will act as the key site-based representative for Hex Energy, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with our design specifications and quality standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Supervise all site activities for ground source heat pump installations, including borehole drilling, manifold installation, and plant room setup. This could be across 1 or multiple sites.
    • Ensure all contractors and subcontractors are working in compliance with project RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements) and health & safety standards.
    • Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and regular site checks to ensure ongoing compliance.
    • Liaise directly with the main contractor, client representatives, and other trades on-site to ensure smooth coordination and communication.
    • Monitor work progress against programme and report any risks or delays to the Hex Energy Project Manager.
    • Carry out quality checks to ensure works are completed in line with approved designs, specifications, and requirements.
    • Keep accurate records of daily site activities, issues, and completed work.
    • Attend site meetings and provide progress updates on behalf of Hex Energy.
    • Support commissioning and handover procedures as required.

    Key Skills & Experience

    • Previous experience supervising M&E or renewable energy installations (heat pump experience highly desirable).
    • Strong understanding of health & safety protocols, including RAMS and CDM regulations.
    • Confident communicator with the ability to liaise professionally with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
    • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
    • CSCS card (Supervisory level desirable).
    • SMSTS or SSSTS certification preferred.
    • Full UK driving licence required.
    • Ability to travel and stay away as required for UK-wide projects.

    What We Offer

    • Competitive salary (based on experience).
    • Company vehicle or travel allowance.
    • 23 days holiday + bank holidays.
    • Pension scheme.
    • Opportunities for training and career development in the renewable energy sector.
    • Be part of a forward-thinking, growing company delivering meaningful low-carbon solutions.
