How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading global law firm, to assist them in their search for a new Conflicts Lawyer.


    This is a new role in their London office, to work as part of their highly collaborative team, whereby the successful applicant will be responsible for reviewing conflicts searches, approving new clients and matters, and providing a new business intake service.


    Responsibilities will include:

    • Reviewing and analysing conflicts reports to identify conflicts of interest and issues.
    • Performing corporate and regulatory research using online tools and external databases to verify new clients.
    • Preparing conflict summaries for Partners to outline conflict/ business issues and resolutions.
    • Reviewing and approving new business forms.
    • Advising and assisting new business intake policy and procedures.
    • Drafting engagement letters, screens, and conflict waivers.
    • Attending weekly meetings, sharing knowledge, and suggesting improvements.
    • Updating knowledge on current professional conduct rules and conflicts regulations.


    The firm are offering a competitive salary & benefits package, and 3:2 hybrid working arrangements are in place.


    Suitable candidates will have a strong knowledge of SRA and ABA conduct rules, admission to a law society or bar, and high commercial awareness. We are seeking applicants with exemplary legal analysis, attention to detail, communication, and organisation skills.


    Demonstrated experience in conflicts or new business intake within a large international law firm, AML knowledge, and experience with compliance screening tools is highly desired.
