How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    LHH is pleased to be partnering with a leading Tier 1 international in the search for an experienced Employment Associate to join its thriving Oxford team.

    The employment team advises an impressive portfolio of clients, ranging from ambitious start-ups and owner-managed businesses to household names and multinational organisations across a wide variety of sectors. Recognised for its expertise across the full spectrum of employment law, the team handles both contentious and non-contentious matters, providing commercially focused and pragmatic advice on complex workplace issues.


    The Role

    • Advising on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters
    • Supporting on Employment Tribunal litigation, workplace investigations, restructures, redundancies, TUPE and day-to-day HR advisory work
    • Assisting senior members of the team on complex matters while developing and managing your own caseload
    • Working closely with clients to provide practical, commercially focused advice on strategic employment issues
    • Building strong client relationships and contributing to business development initiatives as part of a highly regarded team


    About You

    • Circa 2–5 years' PQE in employment law gained within a well-regarded private practice team
    • Strong technical knowledge across a broad range of employment law matters
    • A commercial mindset with excellent communication and relationship-building skills
    • Enthusiastic, collaborative and keen to contribute to a supportive team culture
    • An interest in business development and building a long-term career within a successful practice
