How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Secondary SEN Teacher - PMLD & Complex Needs

    Location: Blackley, Greater Manchester
    Start Date: September 2026
    Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term

    Are you a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher looking for a rewarding opportunity this September?

    A fantastic Secondary SEN School in Blackley is seeking an enthusiastic and caring teacher to join their team, supporting pupils aged 11-19 with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) and complex needs. This is a highly rewarding role where you'll have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of young people while working within a supportive and experienced team.

    The Role

    As a Secondary SEN Teacher, you will:

    Deliver engaging, personalised lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils with PMLD and complex learning needs.
    Create a stimulating, sensory-rich learning environment that promotes communication, independence and personal development.
    Work closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists and other professionals to provide outstanding support.
    Adapt the curriculum to meet EHCP outcomes and celebrate every achievement, no matter how small.
    Foster a safe, nurturing and inclusive classroom where every pupil can thrive.

    The Ideal Candidate

    We are looking for someone who:

    Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
    Has experience teaching pupils with PMLD, complex needs or within an SEN setting.
    Is creative, patient and committed to providing outstanding education for children with additional needs.
    Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
    Enjoys working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
