How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Annual salary: up to £44,000.00

    Working Electrical Qualified Supervisor

    Location: Medway, Kent

    Contract: Permanent, 42.5 hours per week

    Salary: £44,000 per annum plus overtime, company van, fuel card and Mears benefits package

    This role offers excellent earning potential, including a 1-in-3 standby rota paid at £200 per week, additional callout payments of £50 per callout, and regular overtime paid at 1.5x rate (£29.86 per hour), providing the opportunity to earn up to £14,500 per year on top of salary through standby, callouts and overtime.

    About the Role:

    We have an exciting opportunity to join our team in Medway, Kent as a Working Electrical Qualified Supervisor , where you will play a key role in ensuring electrical work is completed safely, compliantly and to the highest standards. This is a varied position combining hands-on technical expertise with supervisory responsibilities across electrical repairs, testing and certification activities.

    Working across a social housing environment, you will support electrical operatives, review certification, deliver technical guidance and ensure compliance with current legislation and industry standards. The role offers a combination of field-based, office-based and remote working, alongside opportunities for overtime and participation in an out-of-hours call-out rota.

    As a Working Electrical Qualified Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing electrical works while carrying out a range of electrical duties and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company procedures.

    Duties:
    Undertake electrical responsive repairs including light switches, extractor fans, cookers, communal repairs, power showers and consumer unit work
    Carry out electrical testing and inspections
    Generate and manage electrical certification
    Review electrical certificates from branch to ensure compliance and quality standards
    Deliver monthly electrical toolbox talks and provide guidance on relevant legislation
    Collate and maintain records of electrical qualifications for both employees and subcontractors
    Maintain and update skills matrix spreadsheets
    Participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota
    Provide technical support and supervision to electrical operatives
    Ensure all electrical work complies with current regulations and best practiceKey Criteria:
    18th Edition Qualification
    NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installation
    AM2 Certification
    Test and Inspection qualification (e.g., City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent)
    Extensive experience in electrical work within housing or maintenance environments
    Full UK manual driving licence
    Experience within social housing environments
    Strong knowledge of electrical compliance, testing and certification
    Ability to review and assess electrical documentation and certification
    Excellent communication and organisational skills
    Ability to work independently and as part of a teamPreferred but not essential:
