How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    BMS Static Engineer

    An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced BMS Static Engineer to join a leading building automation specialist on a prestigious, high-profile commercial site in South West London.

    This is a fully static role where you'll be responsible for maintaining, servicing and supporting the Building Management System across a large, technically advanced facility. Working as part of an established on-site engineering team, you'll play a key role in ensuring critical building systems operate efficiently, reliably and to the highest standards.

    This position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys building long-term relationships with clients, taking ownership of a site, and working in a professional, structured environment.

    Responsibilities

    Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on BMS and controls systems.
    Diagnose and rectify BMS faults across HVAC and mechanical plant.
    Respond to reactive maintenance requests and system alarms.
    Carry out minor software modifications, controller adjustments and graphics updates where required.
    Monitor system performance and identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency and plant operation.
    Liaise closely with the client, subcontractors and on-site facilities teams.
    Produce detailed service reports and maintain accurate maintenance records.
    Support small upgrade projects and commissioning activities when required.
    Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company and site procedures.

    Desired Experience

    Previous experience working as a BMS Service Engineer or Static BMS Engineer.
    Strong knowledge of HVAC plant and building automation systems.
    Experience fault finding and carrying out preventative maintenance on BMS systems.
    Ability to read and interpret control drawings and panel layouts.
    Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
    Full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential for a static role).
