How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Academics is working with amazing SEN schools in Huddersfield seeking a dedicated and compassionate Inclusion Officer to join their supportive team.

    About the Role

    As the Inclusion Officer, you will play a central role in promoting inclusion, wellbeing, and equal opportunities across the school. You'll work closely with staff, students, and families to remove barriers to learning, ensuring that every young person can achieve their full potential in a nurturing environment.

    Key Responsibilities of an Inclusion Officers:

    Support students with a range of special educational needs, including social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties.
    Develop and implement individual support and inclusion plans.
    Build positive relationships with students, parents, and external professionals.
    Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies throughout the school.
    Monitor student progress, attendance, and engagement, providing regular updates to senior leaders.
    Work collaboratively with teaching and pastoral teams to create an inclusive learning culture.What are we looking for in a Inclusion Officer?

    Experience working with children or young people with SEN, preferably within an educational setting.
    Strong understanding of inclusion, safeguarding, and equality in education.
