We are looking for a skilled and reliable Electrician to join our facilities management team, delivering safe, compliant and effective electrical maintenance across a secure operational site.
Hours: 39 hours per week, 07:30–16:30 Saturday to Thursday and 07:30–15:30 Friday. Some weekend working will be required on a rota basis, with an additional allowance of 15% of basic salary.
Salary: £30,866–£36,135, depending on experience. Salary with the 15% uplift is £35,495- £41,555
What you’ll do
* Carry out planned and preventative electrical maintenance, including associated administration.
* Diagnose and resolve faults across electrical systems.
* Complete like-for-like replacements and minor electrical works, ensuring inspections, testing and records meet BS7671 requirements.
* Support a safe, compliant and well-maintained environment for colleagues, service users and visitors.
* Assist authorised colleagues when required and support site duties as needed.
* Follow Health & Safety standards, risk assessments and safe systems of work at all times.
What you’ll bring
* City & Guilds 2367 or 2357 Level 2 Electrical Installation Works, or equivalent.
* BS7671 18th Edition qualification, or 17th Edition with willingness to upskill.
* Good knowledge of Health & Safety, planned maintenance and preventative maintenance.
* Ability to work independently, use initiative and perform well under pressure.
* Experience with fire alarm and CCTV systems would be advantageous.
* Knowledge of electrical systems and Electricity at Work Regulations.
