How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Production Delivery Manager (Contract)
    Location: Wimborne, Dorset
Duration: Initial contract through to Christmas 2026 with scope for permanent opportunities.
    Working Pattern: Full-time, 100% onsite
    Interview Process: Face-to-face interview required

    The Opportunity
We are recruiting for a Delivery Manager to join a busy aftermarket manufacturing operation during a critical period of growth and year-end delivery activity.
This is a highly visible role that sits at the centre of the operation, working across Production, Engineering, Procurement, Quality and Planning teams to ensure products move smoothly through the repair and manufacturing process and are delivered on time, to cost and to the required quality standards.
This is not a traditional project delivery role. Instead, we're looking for someone who can coordinate stakeholders, manage work-in-progress (WIP), remove obstacles, chase progress and drive delivery performance across the business.

    The Role
As Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring products are delivered in line with customer commitments and revenue objectives. You will act as the focal point between multiple functions, identifying risks, escalating issues and driving actions to completion.
    Key responsibilities include:
Managing and tracking work-in-progress (WIP) across the operation.
Coordinating delivery activities between Production, Procurement, Engineering, Quality and Planning teams.
Running WIP and delivery review meetings and ensuring accurate completion forecasts are maintained.
Identifying and resolving delivery blockers impacting schedule performance.
Supporting on-time delivery (OTD) and revenue targets through effective planning and issue resolution.
Escalating key risks and delivery concerns to leadership teams when required.
Working closely with material planners, manufacturing engineers, quality teams and procurement to ensure products continue moving through the process.
Producing and maintaining delivery performance reporting and forecasts.
The position is approximately 70% office-based and 30% shop floor-facing, although this will vary depending on operational priorities and customer requirements.

    About You
We're interested in candidates who have experience within manufacturing, engineering, production or repair environments and are comfortable operating across multiple functions to achieve delivery objectives.

You may currently be working as a:
    Delivery Manager
    Production Supervisor
    Manufacturing Supervisor
    Production Planner
    Scheduler
    Operations Coordinator
    Production Controller
    Manufacturing Project Coordinator
    Supply Chain or MRP Controller

To be successful, you'll ideally have:
Experience within a manufacturing, engineering or production environment.
Planning, scheduling or production control experience.
    Strong problem-solving and issue-resolution skills.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
The ability to influence and drive actions without direct authority.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
    Good commercial and financial awareness.
Experience using MRP/ERP systems would be advantageous.
Previous aerospace, repair, overhaul or aftermarket experience would be beneficial.

    What's on Offer?
Opportunity to join a high-profile manufacturing operation during a busy and exciting period.
Influential role with significant exposure across the business.
Potential for longer-term opportunities for the right individual.
Immediate impact role where your contribution will directly support customer delivery performance.

If you're a hands-on delivery professional who enjoys solving problems, coordinating stakeholders and keeping production moving, we'd like to hear from you.

Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK freely, adhering to ITAR restrictions and eligible for baseline clearance
