How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Principal Integration & System Validation Engineer

    šŸ“ Bristol | Hybrid Working

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Principal Integration & System Validation Engineer to join a growing engineering team delivering complex, high-performance technology programmes. You'll play a key role in planning, executing and supporting integration, verification and validation activities, ensuring systems perform as intended within larger operational environments.

    The Opportunity

    This is a varied, hands-on role involving a mix of system integration, functional testing, equipment qualification, acceptance activities, problem investigation and technical analysis. You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, customers and stakeholders to deliver successful test and validation programmes both in laboratory and field environments.

    Key Responsibilities

    Plan and execute system integration and validation activities.
    Support verification, qualification and acceptance testing.
    Analyse system performance and investigate technical issues.
    Produce test reports and present results to stakeholders.
    Work closely with engineering teams to resolve design and integration challenges.
    Support trials and demonstrations in both laboratory and operational environments.
    Contribute to risk assessment, configuration management and test readiness activities.

    About You

    Experience in systems integration, verification, validation or acceptance testing.
    Background within complex engineering, aerospace, defence, transport, automation or highly regulated industries.
    Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
    Experience planning and conducting test activities.
    Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
    Excellent stakeholder communication skills.
