What You'll Be Doing
As Service Manager, you will:
✅ Lead the successful launch and development of our Chelmsford Homecare service
✅ Provide visible leadership to ensure high-quality, compliant and person-centred care delivery
✅ Build, inspire and develop a skilled and motivated workforce
✅ Manage referrals, assessments, care planning and service mobilisation
✅ Ensure compliance with CQC regulations, Fundamental Standards and internal quality systems
✅ Drive safeguarding excellence and promote a culture of openness, safety and accountability
✅ Develop strong relationships with commissioners, local authorities, healthcare professionals and community partners
✅ Support sustainable business growth while ensuring quality and safety always come first
✅ Monitor service performance, identify improvement opportunities and lead positive change
About You
We're looking for an experienced and confident manager who combines operational expertise with genuine compassion and strong leadership skills.
Essential Requirements
Minimum Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care or equivalent
At least 2 years' experience in a management, deputy management or service management role within a CQC-regulated care service
Strong knowledge of Homecare and Personal Care services
Sound understanding of CQC regulations, Fundamental Standards and safeguarding responsibilities
Experience managing teams, quality assurance processes and risk management
Excellent communication, organisational and relationship-building skills
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicleWe'd Love It If You Also Have
Level 4 or Level 5 qualification in Health & Social Care Leadership and Management
Experience opening, mobilising or growing a care service
Knowledge of local commissioning and referral pathways across Essex
Experience supporting CQC inspections and quality improvement initiatives
Knowledge of learning disabilities, autism, mental health, dementia, physical disabilities and/or children's servicesThe Difference You'll Make
