Duties
Install fire-resistant barriers, sealants, and other fire-stopping materials in walls, floors, ceilings, and penetrations using hand tools and power tools
08:00 - 16:00 - Monday - Friday
Inspect existing fire-stopping systems to identify deficiencies or areas needing repair or upgrade
Collaborate with roofing, plumbing, electrical, and masonry teams to ensure fire-stopping measures integrate seamlessly with other building systems
Fabricate custom fire-stopping components using welding, carpentry, or fabrication techniques as needed
Maintain detailed documentation of installation procedures, inspections, and repairs for compliance purposes
Requirements
Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment safely and effectively
Knowledge of schematics and technical drawings related to fire protection systems
Familiarity with construction safety standards and building codes for fire prevention
Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces while maintaining safety protocols
Strong problem-solving skills with an eye for detail during inspections and installations
Construction experience across multiple trades such as masonry, carpentry, plastering, or construction painting is highly desirable
