How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Role Title: Finance Analyst

    Location: London, England, United Kingdom (Full-time)

    Client

    Our client, a leading financial services firm based in London with a global footprint. The Finance team is a lean, high-performing group of professionals dedicated to driving financial excellence, managing global entities, and supporting strategic growth. Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and external advisors across tax, audit, and professional services. They are looking for an ambitious, tech-forward Finance Analyst to join the dynamic team.

    The Role

    As a Finance Analyst, you will play a critical role in managing day-to-day corporate finance operations, financial reporting, and process optimization. This hands-on position offers deep exposure to management accounting, budgeting, and financial technology.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Financial Reporting & Analysis: Assist in preparing monthly management accounts, review external bookkeeping workflows, and analyze performance against budgets for key expense accounts.

    * Core Accounting: Manage inter-company invoicing, reconciliations, fixed asset registers, and the end-to-end employee expense and corporate credit card process.

    * Accounts Payable: Process corporate invoices using our internal accounting platform, secure approvals, and coordinate timely payments with external payment agents.

    * Tax & Compliance: Execute day-to-day tax compliance tasks, manage tax withholding statements, and ensure strict adherence to internal controls.

    * Budgeting & Planning: Partner with leadership during the annual budgeting process, drafting forecasts for key expense categories.

    * Innovation & Ad-Hoc Projects: Identify process inefficiencies, leverage modern tools to automate workflows, and support senior management on strategic financial projects.

    Requirements & Qualifications

    * Education: University degree required, preferably in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, or a highly quantitative field.

    * Experience: 1–2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role is ideal. High-caliber graduates with relevant internship experience and a strong desire to learn are also encouraged to apply.

    * Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel is essential. Practical knowledge of modern ERP/bookkeeping systems (such as SAP) or technical tools (VBA, Python) is highly advantageous.

    * Tech Curiosity: A strong interest in exploring AI tools and emerging technologies to optimize finance workflows.

    * Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and top-tier written and spoken English communication skills. You must be comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
