How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    The Role of the Civils Working Supervisor

    You’ll lead a 2–3 operative civils gang delivering groundworks and cable civils across energy infrastructure projects, including:

    You’ll be responsible for running the site day-to-day, keeping your team productive and ensuring the work is delivered safely, correctly and to programme.

    What We’re Looking For

    You’ll need:

    3+ years’ experience leading civils / groundworks gangs

    Valid CSCS card

    CAT & Genny qualification/experience

    NRSWA / Streetworks

    Full UK driving licence

    Comfortable working away from home Monday–Friday

    The following would be advantageous:

    * Performance bonus

    * Pension

    * Genuine progression opportunities as the business continues to scale

    * Direct employment – no agency and no umbrella

    They run proper kit, straight-talking management and a full order book. If you’re looking for a long-term opportunity with a growing energy infrastructure contractor rather than another short-term job, this could be the role for you.

    Important

    They operate a strict drug and alcohol policy, with testing carried out on induction and randomly thereafter.

    Apply Now

    If you’re interested, send us a message with:

    If you can lead from the front, know your civils and want to be part of a company that’s scaling up, we want to hear from you
