This is a full-time Year 4 teaching role starting in November 2026 on a long-term maternity cover basis. Planning is already in place until the Spring Term, allowing you to settle into the role and build positive relationships with the class. From the Spring Term onwards, you will be responsible for planning, preparing and delivering engaging lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum. You will have dedicated PPA time and will work alongside a supportive team committed to providing high-quality learning opportunities for all pupils.
What you'll need to succeed
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Recent experience teaching within Key Stage 2
Experience planning and delivering engaging lessons across the KS2 curriculum
Strong understanding of assessment and pupil progress
Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
Strong communication and organisational skills
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one through Hays
