How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Branch Support Manager

    position based in the

    Yorkshire and East Midlands region

    . This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and growing business where you will play a key role in supporting multiple branches, driving operational excellence and ensuring the highest standards of customer service across the network. Working

    Monday to Friday

    and

    1 in 2 Saturday mornings

    , you will receive a

    basic salary starting at £42,000

    , along with an excellent benefits package.

    Job Duties Include:

    Provide operational support across multiple branch locations, ensuring company standards and procedures are consistently maintained.

    Assist Branch Managers with the day-to-day running of their operations, stepping into branches when additional management support is required.

    Coach, mentor and develop branch teams to improve customer service, sales performance and operational efficiency.

    Monitor branch performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing action plans where necessary.

    Support the recruitment, onboarding and training of new employees across the branch network.

    Work closely with senior management to implement company initiatives, policies and business objectives.

    Ensure stock management processes are followed, maintaining accurate inventory levels and minimising stock losses.

    Build and maintain strong relationships with trade customers, suppliers and internal departments.

    Analyse branch KPIs including sales, profitability, customer satisfaction and stock performance.

    Assist with resolving customer escalations and operational challenges in a professional and timely manner.

    Ensure all branches operate in accordance with Health & Safety regulations and company compliance standards.

    Travel between branches as required, providing hands-on support during busy periods, staff absences or business change.

    Requirements:

    Previous experience within the

    automotive aftermarket

    , motor factor or automotive parts distribution industry.

    Experience in a

    Branch Manager

    ,

    Assistant Branch Manager

    ,

    Regional Support

    or similar leadership role.

    Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.

    Excellent knowledge of automotive parts, trade sales and branch operations.

    Strong commercial awareness with the ability to improve branch performance and profitability.

    Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.

    Experience using branch management systems and Microsoft Office applications.

    Flexible approach with a willingness to travel regularly between branch locations.

    Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
