How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Description

    Supporting our e‑fulfilment operation for a well-known recognised brand. The site will handle the movement of customer‑specific products, including beers, wines and spirits, within a fast‑paced warehouse environment.

    As Technical Operations Support, you will play a vital role in providing a knowledgeable, solutions-based approach to ensure the smooth day to day running of the technical function in the warehouse.

    Working hours: 4 on 4 off days, 06:00 - 18:00

    Salary: Up to £28,318 per annum DOE

    Key duties of Operations Support:

    Work closely with 3rd parties on external systems 
    Assisting the Picking and Packing Team by providing Engineering solutions to assist in an Operational capacity. 
    Monitoring all machines and ancillary plant to drive efficiency and reliability. 
    Carry out planned maintenance, inspections and complete repairs with little disruption to the Operational schedules.  
    Look for opportunities to continuously improve performance. 
    Follow set procedures and guidelines with respect to Health and Safety and COMAH Regulations. 
    Ensure good working practices and housekeeping are adhered to. 
    Providing weekly reports to management team on status of operational equipment. 
    Proactively make recommendations regarding the equipment to meet the site operational requirements and future development.

    Qualifications

    You will be expected to demonstrate competence in the following areas:  

    Label Printer set-up and maintenance 
    Network patching of laptops and printer to pack benches
    Systems/Peripheral Configuration
    Local Control of IT Asset Management 
    General Troubleshooting and Fault FindingTechnical knowledge is desirable in the following areas: (External Systems) 

    Printer Management 
    Device Management
    Staff Maintenance (such as passwords and access levels)
    Cubiscan Maintenance
    Conveyor systems
    Patching of Dumb Terminals and Printers Experience in working with the following equipment is desirable: 

    Checkweighers
    Pallet wrapping
    Shrink wrapping
    Various bespoke hand packing/labelling lines with printers
    MCS
