Are you passionate about supporting vulnerable adults to rebuild their lives and achieve independence? We are looking for an experienced and proactive Supported Housing Worker to join a supported accommodation service for homeless individuals and rough sleepers.
About the Service
The service provides supported accommodation across four properties, supporting individuals with low to medium support needs. The aim is to help residents develop the skills, confidence, and stability required to move into independent living and sustain their accommodation long term.
The Role
This is a hands-on support role offering the opportunity to take ownership of assessments, support planning, and work closely with residents to achieve positive outcomes.
You will manage a caseload of approximately 8 residents, providing tailored support around housing, wellbeing, recovery, and independent living. The role involves regular lone working and travel between properties, making resilience, initiative, and effective decision-making essential.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a caseload of around 8 residents.
Complete assessments and develop person-centred support plans.
Deliver regular key-working sessions and monitor resident progress.
Support homeless individuals and rough sleepers to achieve and maintain independence.
Work with residents who may have substance misuse, alcohol dependency, and mental health support needs.
Liaise with external agencies, including recovery and treatment services such as Turning Point and CGL.
Maintain accurate case notes and records using Microsoft Word and Dropbox.
Support residents with tenancy sustainment and housing-related matters.
Work independently across multiple properties and manage risk effectively.
About You
We're looking for a confident and resilient professional who can build positive relationships while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
Essential Experience
Experience supporting homeless individuals or rough sleepers.
Experience within substance misuse, recovery, addiction, or mental health services.
Experience completing assessments and managing support plans.
Strong understanding of safeguarding and risk management.
Ability to work independently and use initiative.
Desirable Experience
Experience working alongside organisations such as Turning Point, CGL, or similar recovery services.
Experience supporting individuals with alcohol dependency.
Understanding of relapse, recovery, and trauma-informed support approaches.
