How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

At LKAB, we are leading the transformation of our industry toward a sustainable future. Just as we aim to reshape the world, we are committed to developing every individual on our team, both personally and professionally. Are you ready to help shape the future of the mining and mineral industry?

    Your Role

As a Credit Controller at LKAB Minerals UK, you will play a key role in safeguarding the company’s cashflow, ensuring that customer accounts are managed effectively and that outstanding debt is collected in a timely, professional, and controlled manner. Working within the Central Finance team, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate customer ledgers, resolving account queries, and supporting the wider business in managing credit risk.

Your role will focus on the full credit control cycle, including customer account setup, credit checks, debt monitoring, proactive customer contact, dispute resolution, and cash allocation. You will contribute to maintaining high‑quality financial information that supports month‑end close activities and provides clear visibility of debtor performance across the business.

This position supports the financial operations of multiple UK manufacturing sites, as well as giving credit management assistance to other group entities based in the EU, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and clarity in all credit‑related activities. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to ongoing improvements in processes and controls, helping to strengthen the efficiency and effectiveness of the transactional finance function.

The Finance Department at LKAB Minerals is structured around two strategic pillars, designed to balance strong financial governance with effective operational support. This structure ensures that our financial processes are both robust and responsive to the needs of the business.

As a Credit Controller, you will be part of the Central Finance pillar — the operational core of our finance function. This team is responsible for delivering accurate, efficient, and well‑controlled transactional processing across the organisation. You will work within a motivated and supportive group that values clarity, consistency, and continuous improvement.

You will be part of the Transaction Processing Team, led by the Head of Transaction Processing, who is committed to developing the team, embedding best‑practice processes, and fostering a culture where individuals feel empowered to take ownership of their work.

This environment provides a strong foundation for learning and development, offering exposure to high‑quality financial processes and opportunities to contribute to improvements that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the transactional finance function.
