Folding Machine Operative

Senior Salmon are looking for a reliable and detail‑focused Folding Machine Operative to join their client for working closely with their production team. This is a hands‑on role within a busy print finishing environment, working specifically with Stahl folding machines to produce high‑quality finished print products.

Key Responsibilities

Operating Stahl folding machines safely and efficiently to meet production targets.

Setting up machines for different job specifications, including fold type, paper size, and paper weight.

Monitoring machine performance and making adjustments to maintain quality and accuracy.

Carrying out basic machine maintenance, cleaning, and fault identification.

Working closely with the production team to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of orders.

Quality‑checking finished products to ensure they meet customer and company standards.

Accurately recording job details, quantities, and any issues encountered.

Following all health and safety procedures within the print finishing environment.

About You

Previous experience in print finishing or machine operation is highly desirable.

Strong attention to detail and ability to spot errors quickly.

Comfortable working in a fast‑paced production environment.

Able to work independently once trained, with a proactive and reliable approach.

Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team.

Physically fit enough for manual handling and standing for long periods.

Direct experience operating Stahl folding machines.

Background in printing, bindery, or manufacturing.
