How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Workshop Fitter – Industrial Pumps
    West Yorkshire | £30,000–£42,000 + Overtime + Excellent Benefits

    Are you a hands-on Mechanical Fitter looking for a secure workshop-based role with a leading engineering company?

    We're recruiting for an established business specialising in the service, repair and overhaul of industrial pumps used across sectors including manufacturing, water, chemical processing, food & beverage, pharmaceuticals and utilities.

    This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys stripping, inspecting, repairing and rebuilding rotating equipment in a modern workshop environment.

    The Role

    * Strip, inspect and rebuild a wide range of centrifugal and positive displacement pumps.

    * Diagnose mechanical faults and identify worn or damaged components.

    * Carry out repairs, overhauls and performance testing.

    * Complete workshop documentation and inspection reports.

    * Work alongside an experienced engineering team in a busy workshop.

    * Maintain high standards of quality, safety and workmanship.

    What We're Looking For

    * Experience working on industrial pumps, rotating equipment or similar mechanical equipment.

    * Mechanical fitting, maintenance or overhaul experience.

    * Ability to read engineering drawings and use measuring equipment.

    * Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

    * Mechanical qualifications or apprenticeship beneficial but not essential.
