Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Technician
Location: Harlow, Essex
Job Type: Permanent
Shift: 12-hour day shifts on a 2-week cycle. 7am - 7pm
SRG are currently looking for a skilled Electrical Engineering Technician to join a high-performing maintenance team within a process manufacturing environment. This role focuses on delivering both preventative and reactive maintenance, ensuring high levels of plant reliability and operational performance.
You'll play a key role in troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving site equipment while working closely with production and engineering teams in a fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Perform planned and breakdown maintenance on a range of process and plant equipment
Diagnose faults and carry out effective and timely repairs to minimise downtime
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety, environmental, and operational standards
Accurately complete maintenance logs, job cards, and CMMS records (e.g. SAP)
Support equipment reliability and plant availability targets
Assist with maintenance planning, parts identification, and stock control
Liaise with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to ensure smooth operations
Provide clear shift handovers and communicate ongoing work effectively
Support and oversee external contractors when required
Criteria:
Apprenticeship or Level 3 NVQ in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
Qualified to 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
CompEx certification (minimum ExF) - ideally Ex01-Ex06
Experience with Control & Instrumentation (C&I) is highly desirable
Strong experience in fault finding and problem solving on industrial equipment
Good working knowledge of process machinery and plant systems.
