How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Are you an experienced Firmware Engineer? Do you have strong embedded firmware development experience using STM32 processors? Are you confident working from technical specifications, collaborating with electronics engineers, and supporting products from development through to validation?
    If so, a global engineering business is looking to appoint a Firmware Engineer to join its growing engineering team, developing embedded firmware for innovative safety products used by customers across the world.

    Firmware Engineer
    Job Description:

    Developing embedded firmware for new and existing products, working from project documentation, technical specifications and design models.
    Collaborating closely with Electronics Engineers and the wider project team to ensure firmware is successfully developed, integrated, tested and validated.
    Supporting firmware debugging, verification and issue resolution throughout the product development lifecycle.
    Producing clear technical documentation to support firmware implementation, design decisions and ongoing product maintenance.
    Participating in technical reviews, contributing to continuous improvement activities and supporting the delivery of high-quality engineering solutions.
    Firmware Engineer
    Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications:

    Proven experience in a Firmware Engineer or Embedded Software Engineer position.
    Extensive experience developing embedded firmware using STM32 processors.
    Degree qualified in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
    Desirable experience with TI Sitara processors, Enterprise Architect modelling software and firmware unit testing using Tessy.
