Salary: £38,600
Hours: 37 hour working week (Monday to Friday with flexi time)
Holiday: 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays
Are you an experienced Mechanical Fitter with a strong background in industrial pipefitting and ready to join a maintenance team based in Portsmouth?
This role will suit someone who enjoys hands-on pipefitting work and has experience working on industrial steam, heating or process systems. You'll be responsible for the installation, repair and maintenance of pipework networks, supporting the continued operation of critical infrastructure across a large site.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out installation, replacement and repair of industrial pipework systems.
Work on steam distribution networks, plant rooms and associated mechanical equipment.
Undertake planned and reactive maintenance activities.
Carry out fault finding and mechanical repairs on steam and heating systems.
Use threading machines and pipefitting tools safely and effectively.
Read and work from technical drawings and specifications.
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health, safety and quality standards.
Work closely with colleagues while also being capable of working independently when required.
About You
Proven experience in industrial pipefitting.
Experience working on steam, heating or industrial mechanical systems.
Confident using threading machines and pipework installation tools.
Good fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
Strong understanding of safe systems of work and health & safety requirements.
NVQ Level 3 in a relevant discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
Full UK Driving Licence.
Ability to obtain Security Clearance.
