How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    MET Technician

    Are you an experienced MET Technician looking for your next opportunity with a professional and well-equipped accident repair centre?

    We are recruiting for a skilled MET Technician (Mechanical, Electrical & Trim Technician) to join a busy, high-performing body shop. Working as part of an experienced repair team, you’ll be responsible for stripping and refitting vehicles to manufacturer standards while maintaining the highest levels of quality and safety.

    This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated technician who takes pride in delivering first-class repairs and wants to work for a business that values its employees.

    Responsibilities of a MET Technician

    As an MET Technician, your responsibilities will include:

    * Stripping damaged vehicles ready for repair.

    * Refitting mechanical, electrical and trim components following repair.

    * Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs where required.

    * Removing and replacing vehicle components safely and efficiently.

    * Working with ADAS systems and carrying out calibrations where required.

    * Ensuring all work is completed to manufacturer and industry standards.

    * Liaising with workshop colleagues to ensure repairs are completed on time.

    * Maintaining excellent standards of workmanship and attention to detail.

    Requirements for MET Technician

    * Previous experience as an MET Technician, Strip & Fit Technician or Vehicle Technician within an accident repair centre or body shop.

    * Strong knowledge of modern vehicle systems.

    * Experience working on a wide range of vehicle makes and models.

    * Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

    * High attention to detail with a commitment to quality repairs.

    * ATA accreditation is desirable but not essential.

    * Full UK Driving Licence.
