How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Warehouse Operative (Part-Time)
    Location: Acton, London
    Working Pattern: 4 days per week | 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

    A growing and well-established FMCG business is looking for a reliable and hands-on Warehouse Operative to join their team in Acton, London. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a practical environment and is looking to develop their skills within the coffee and logistics industry.

    The successful candidate will support the day-to-day running of the warehouse, assisting with stock handling, order fulfilment, sample preparation, and general operational activities. A valid counterbalance forklift licence is essential for this role.

    Key Responsibilities

    Support the daily operations of the warehouse and premises.
    Assist with goods receiving, stock organisation, packing, and dispatch of coffee products.
    Safely operate a counterbalance forklift for loading, unloading, and moving stock.
    Carry out stock checks and help maintain accurate inventory records.
    Assist with preparing coffee samples, including packing and basic roasting support.
    Support customer service activities, including order follow-ups and responding to basic enquiries.
    Help prepare and set up cupping sessions while maintaining a clean and organised workspace.
    Operate warehouse equipment such as vacuum packers and pallet trucks.
    Provide general support to wider sales and marketing activities when required.Requirements

    Valid counterbalance forklift licence (essential).
    Previous warehouse, logistics, or stock-handling experience.
    Comfortable working in a physical environment, including handling heavy goods with the correct equipment.
    Strong attention to detail with good organisational skills.
    Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
    Basic IT skills, including email and spreadsheets.
    Reliable, flexible, and proactive approach to work.
    Genuine interest in coffee and willingness to learn about the industry.
    Desirable Experience

    Previous experience within the coffee industry, such as roasting, cupping, or barista work.
    Customer service or sales support experience.
    Experience with packing and shipping goods.
    Interest in marketing and client-facing activities.
