How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Data Analyst

    Red Recruitment is recruiting a switched-on and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join an innovative fintech organisation in Bristol on a four-week temporary contract.

    Working within the Product team, you will help ensure the data used by an AI-powered platform is reliable and accurate. You will write and refine instructions for AI models, test data extractions and manually review the results.

    This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is curious about AI, enjoys solving problems and takes pride in getting the details exactly right.

    Package for a Data Analyst:

    Salary: £15 per hour
    Hours: Monday to Friday, 9.00am-5.00pm
    Contract: Temporary, four-week contract
    Location: Office-based in Bristol
    Start Date: Monday 10th August
    Full training on the systems, tools and specialist subject matter
    Hands-on experience working with AI and large language models
    Supportive, collaborative and mission-driven working environment
    Opportunity to gain experience within an innovative fintech organisationKey Responsibilities of a Data Analyst:

    Writing and refining clear, structured data descriptions that instruct AI models on what information to extract
    Reviewing prompts to ensure they accurately reflect the required data points
    Running data extraction tests across a range of documents
    Manually checking results for accuracy, consistency and completeness
    Investigating inaccurate results and refining instructions accordingly
    Considering how each data point will be used within the wider product
    Flagging definitions that need to be clarified or strengthened
    Communicating issues clearly to members of the Product and Engineering teams
    Taking ownership of problems and seeing them through to resolution
    Supporting the team in maintaining high standards of data qualityKey Skills and Experience of a Data Analyst:

    A logical and analytical approach to reviewing information and solving problems
    Strong written communication skills, with the ability to create clear and precise instructions
