How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Salary: £80,000 - £90,000 + Excellent Package

    We're looking for an experienced Contract Manager with specialist NEC expertise to join a major infrastructure project in London.

    Unlike a traditional Commercial Manager role, this position is focused on protecting the client's contractual position through effective administration of the main contract, contractual compliance and proactive management of change.

    The Role

    You'll be responsible for managing the main NEC contract, providing contractual advice to project teams and supporting the successful delivery of a complex infrastructure programme.

    Working closely with senior commercial leadership, you'll become the subject matter expert for contractual matters across the project.

    Responsibilities

    Administer the NEC main contract.
    Manage contractual notices, Early Warnings and Compensation Events.
    Review and interpret contract clauses.
    Manage contractual correspondence with the client.
    Support negotiations relating to contractual matters.
    Ensure subcontract agreements align with the main contract.
    Support dispute avoidance and resolution.
    Monitor contractual compliance and governance.
    Advise project teams on contractual entitlement and risk.

    About You

    We're looking for candidates with:

    Extensive NEC3 or NEC4 contract management experience.
    Experience administering Prime Contracts on major infrastructure projects.
    Main contractor or Joint Venture background.
    Strong understanding of construction contracts and contractual risk.
    Experience managing client-facing contractual matters.
    Construction law knowledge is advantageous.
    HS2 or major infrastructure experience would be highly desirable.
