How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

This is a varied and influential role where you'll lead the organisation's compliance and quality strategy, maintaining key accreditations while supporting operational teams to deliver projects safely, efficiently and in full compliance with industry standards.

You'll become the subject matter expert for quality assurance, ISO standards, RISQS and audit management, helping the business maintain its reputation for delivering high-quality infrastructure projects.

    Key Responsibilities

Taking ownership of RISQS accreditation and Principal Contractor compliance

    *

Planning and delivering internal, supplier and client audits

    *

Managing non-conformances, corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives

    *

Developing and maintaining quality policies, procedures and documentation

    *

Producing compliance reports, KPIs and management information for senior leadership

    *

Supporting project teams by developing Project Quality Management Plans (QMPs)

    *

Monitoring changes in legislation and ensuring business compliance

    *

Managing supplier assurance processes and approved supplier performance

    *

Delivering training and guidance to promote a strong compliance and quality culture across the business

    About You

Our client is looking for someone who has significant experience within the rail, construction, engineering or infrastructure sectors and enjoys working collaboratively with operational teams while maintaining robust compliance standards.

    You'll ideally have:

    *

Extensive experience managing Quality and Compliance Management Systems

    *

Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001

    *

Experience managing RISQS accreditation and audit processes

    *

    Lead Auditor qualification

    *

Experience undertaking internal, supplier and external audits

    *

Knowledge of Network Rail standards and assurance requirements

    *

    Experience supporting Principal Contractor responsibilities

    *

Understanding of Sentinel and rail assurance systems

    *

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

    *

    Full UK Driving Licence

    What's on Offer

    *

    Competitive salary and benefits package

    *

Opportunity to play a key role within a respected rail infrastructure business

    *

    Long-term career development
