How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    The Opportunity

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Electrical Project Engineer to join a highly respected UK lighting manufacturer with a heritage spanning more than 100 years.

    As part of a global organisation leading the way in intelligent lighting and smart building technologies, you will support the delivery of innovative projects across infrastructure, transport, public realm, commercial and industrial sectors.

    The Role

    As a Junior Electrical Project Engineer, you will support the successful delivery of lighting and controls projects from initial enquiry through to completion.

    Working closely with Engineering, Product Development, Sales and Operations teams, you will assist with project coordination, technical documentation, product testing and customer support activities. You will gain hands-on experience with intelligent lighting systems, electrical infrastructure and emerging smart technology solutions.

    Key Responsibilities

    Support the planning and delivery of electrical and lighting projects.
    Assist with project documentation, technical specifications and project schedules.
    Liaise with customers, contractors and internal departments to ensure projects are delivered successfully.
    Support product testing, validation and technical evaluations.
    Help investigate and resolve technical issues during project delivery.
    Produce technical reports, installation guides and project documentation.
    Monitor project progress and support engineers with achieving key milestones.

    What We're Looking For

    Essential

    Excellent communication skills.
    Good attention to detail.
    Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
    Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
    Full UK Driving Licence.
