How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

You will review materials and technical documentation, coordinate subcontractors and ensure architectural and structural requirements are correctly interpreted and delivered throughout the carbon capture construction programme.

This is a site-based architectural building engineering position. It is not focused on residential housing, interior design or purely architectural design.

Candidates must have experience supporting building construction activities on industrial facilities, manufacturing plants, oil and gas sites or similar major construction projects.

    Responsibilities

    * Review client technical documentation, engineering specifications and construction requirements

    * Maintain project technical files and architectural documentation

    * Coordinate external architectural engineering subcontractors across the carbon capture construction site

    * Review architectural engineering designs completed by subcontractors

    * Review design specifications and coordinate the architectural and structural design of building modules on-site

    * Support the definition of structural requirements and construction materials

    * Ensure appropriate consideration is given to the structural integrity of each building and module

    * Prepare architectural design specifications for buildings and support the preparation of associated civil works specifications

    * Develop functional architectural layouts based on multidisciplinary engineering and construction input

    * Prepare material specifications and the architectural basis of design for buildings across the carbon capture project

    * Support Procurement with technical interfaces involving architectural suppliers and vendors

    * Work closely with architectural, structural, civil, procurement and construction teams

    * Support client and subcontractor relationships throughout the building construction programme

    Experience required

    * Proven experience in architectural building engineering roles

    * Proven experience working within a live construction-site environment

    * Experience supporting the construction of industrial buildings, facilities, manufacturing plants, commercial buildings or oil and gas facilities

    * Strong experience reviewing construction materials and material specifications

    * Ability to interpret architectural drawings, engineering documents and technical specifications

    * Experience coordinating architectural engineering subcontractors and vendors

    * Knowledge of architectural and structural interfaces relating to buildings and modular construction

    * Strong technical-documentation review and client-relationship skills

    * Previous experience within carbon capture, oil and gas, LNG, petrochemical, refinery, nuclear, energy-from-waste or other major industrial construction projects would be beneficial

Please note: Candidates whose experience is primarily within housing construction, residential developments, interior architecture or interior design will not be suitable for this position.

If you have relevant architectural building engineering experience within industrial construction and would like to discuss this carbon capture project, please apply with your latest CV or contact me directly.
