An established independent construction consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its Manchester team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor who can independently lead projects from inception through to completion.
Based in a modern office close to Manchester city centre, the practice provides Quantity Surveying and wider construction consultancy services across the public and private sectors. Projects include new-build, refurbishment and remodelling schemes for clients in higher education, further education, local authority and housing.
The Senior Quantity Surveyor Role
The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will take responsibility for delivering multiple projects, acting as the lead Quantity Surveyor throughout the full project lifecycle.
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will provide pre- and post-contract cost management services, maintain strong client relationships and support the development of Graduate Quantity Surveyors. The position sits between the consultancy's Associate Quantity Surveyors and its graduate-level team.
Experience within a consultancy environment is essential. Previous involvement in higher education or further education projects would be particularly beneficial. Employer's Agent or Project Management experience would also be advantageous, although it is not essential.
Senior Quantity Surveyor Requirements
The Senior Quantity Surveyor must have:
At least five years' relevant Quantity Surveying experience
Proven experience delivering projects from start to finish in a lead Quantity Surveyor role
The ability to manage several projects simultaneously
Consultancy-based cost management experience
MRICS status, preferably, or clear progress towards chartership
A relevant professional Quantity Surveying qualification
Strong communication, commercial and client-facing skills
A home address within reasonable commuting distance of Manchester city centreThe Senior Quantity Surveyor Package
