The RoleAs a Maintenance Operative, you will support the day-to-day maintenance of the warehouse and factory, ensuring the site remains safe, organised and fully operational. This is a hands-on role that would suit someone with previous maintenance, labouring or DIY experience who enjoys practical work.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out general maintenance across the warehouse and factory
* Build, repair and paint wooden pallets
* Complete basic welding and fabrication tasks where required
* Undertake general labouring duties across the site
* Use a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively
* Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment
* Report maintenance issues through the correct channels
* Follow all health and safety procedures at all times
* Support other departments with maintenance-related tasks when required
What We're Looking ForWe're looking for someone who is practical, reliable and takes pride in producing high-quality work.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Previous experience in a maintenance, labouring or warehouse maintenance role
* Confident using hand and power tools
* Experience building or repairing pallets would be advantageous
* Welding and fabrication experience is desirable
* Strong DIY or general maintenance skills
* Physically fit and comfortable carrying out manual handling and heavy lifting
* Good understanding of health and safety in the workplace
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Reliable with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
* Good attention to detail
Working Hours
* Monday to Friday
* 6:00am – 2:00pm or 7:00am – 3:00pm
* Temporary to Permanent opportunity
* Monthly pay on the 28th of each month
