In this role, you will deliver the Offensive Weapons Act project across the borough, supporting businesses, carrying out compliance checks and working with partners to improve public protection.
Duties:
Deliver the Offensive Weapons Act project, including inspections and compliance checks.
Develop guidance and support businesses to understand legal requirements.
Work with Police, stakeholders and internal teams to improve compliance.
Use intelligence to identify risks, analyse results and deliver outcomes.Qualifications and Experience:
Experience in Public Protection, Trading Standards or regulatory enforcement.
Experience managing compliance inspections and enforcement casework.
Experience working with stakeholders, businesses and partner agencies.
Experience using intelligence to analyse information and deliver outcomes.What's on offer:
Salary: £45ph+
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 3-6 months minimum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
