How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Senior Cost Manager – Logistics and Manufacturing

    Shape the future of logistics and manufacturing projects.
    Are you ready to build your career in one of the UK’s most dynamic built environment sectors? We’re looking for an ambitious Cost Manager to join a growing consultancy team delivering high-profile logistics and manufacturing projects across London and beyond.

    This is a brilliant opportunity to work on fast-paced, technically interesting schemes, from automated warehouses and specialist production facilities to logistics parks, fit-outs, temperature-controlled environments and next-generation industrial spaces.

    You’ll be part of a collaborative team where your ideas count, your development is supported, and you’ll have the chance to take ownership of your own projects while learning from experienced cost management professionals.

    The opportunity
    Logistics and manufacturing are changing fast. Clients are investing in smarter, more resilient, technology-led spaces and they need commercially sharp advice to help them make confident decisions, manage risk and deliver value.

    As Cost Manager, you’ll play a key role in providing practical cost advice across the full project lifecycle. You’ll support major commissions, lead on smaller projects, build strong client relationships and contribute to successful outcomes in a sector with real momentum.

    What you’ll be doing

    * Deliver cost management services across your own projects while supporting senior colleagues on larger, more complex commissions.

    * Carry out pre- and post-contract quantity surveying duties, including cost planning, estimating, procurement support and post-contract financial management.

    * Contribute to the commercial and contractual performance of projects from inception through to completion.

    * Build trusted client relationships through clear communication, proactive advice and high-quality delivery.

    * Support value-for-money outcomes while maintaining strong commercial control and professional standards.

    About you

    You’ll have a strong foundation in quantity surveying or cost management, a proactive approach and the confidence to work closely with clients, consultants and project teams. You may already have experience in logistics, industrial or manufacturing projects, or you may be looking to bring your consultancy experience into a high-growth sector.

    What matters most is your drive to learn, your commercial awareness and your enthusiasm for delivering great work as part of a supportive team.

    Qualifications

    * Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a similar construction-related technical discipline.

    * MRICS qualified, or working towards chartership with support available.

    Experience

    * Previous experience within a construction consultancy environment.

    * Experience in industrial, manufacturing or logistics projects would be advantageous, although applicants from other sectors are welcome.

    * Knowledge of different forms of building contract.

    * A strong track record of working with teams, prioritising workloads and delivering to deadlines.

    How you work

    * Client-focused, collaborative and confident sharing knowledge with colleagues.

    * Positive, proactive and committed to delivering excellent service and strong commercial outcomes.

    * A team player who is keen to learn, contribute and grow into future leadership opportunities.

    Why apply?
    A Sunday Times top 100 employer, this company will provide you with a flexible, friendly and creative environment in one of their UK offices to develop your skills and challenge yourself. They will support you to innovate, collaborate and build a meaningful career. Their strong network of people and knowledge will help expand your horizons and give you access to a variety of interesting projects across the UK and potentially further afield.

    Employees are rewarded with competitive salaries, opportunities to purchase shares in the business and many other benefits including:

    * 28 days holiday + bank holidays (option to purchase up to 5 extra days per year),

    * Company pension scheme,

    * Health Insurance

    * Life Assurance,

    * Bicycle Purchase Scheme,

    * Health Screening,

    * Employee Assistance Programme,

    * Dental Cover,

    * Professional Memberships plus many more benefits.
