How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Production Assembler – Temporary to Permanent Opportunity
    Location: Dudley
    Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm
    Hourly Rate: £14.71ph

    The Role – Production Assembler

    As a Production Assembler, you will play an important role in the assembly and manufacture of products, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

    Your duties will include, but will not be limited to:

    Assembling products accurately and efficiently in line with customer specifications and production targets
    Using a range of hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
    Reading and following work instructions, drawings, and production guidelines where required
    Carrying out quality inspections to ensure products meet company standards
    Identifying and reporting any faults, defects, or issues during the assembly process
    Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment
    Following all company policies, procedures, and strict health and safety regulations
    Completing manual handling tasks as required
    Working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team production goals

    The Ideal Candidate

    The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience working within a manufacturing, production, or assembly environment. You will be a reliable and motivated individual with a strong work ethic and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

    You will have

    Previous experience as a Production Assembler, Assembly Operative, Manufacturing Operative, or similar role
    Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused approach
    The ability to work effectively as part of a team
    Good communication skills and a positive attitude
    The ability to follow instructions and work to production requirements
    A willingness to learn new skills and develop within the business

    Previous experience using hand tools, power tools, or working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment would be highly advantageous.
