How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Your new company
Our client is a leading social housing and property services organisation responsible for delivering responsive repairs, maintenance and planned works across a large and diverse property portfolio throughout Northern Ireland.

Operating an in-house maintenance service, the organisation is committed to providing high-quality workmanship, excellent customer service and value for money. Services include responsive repairs, void property maintenance, disabled adaptations, project works, electrical testing and asbestos monitoring.
As part of continued growth, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Supervisor to join the team in South Belfast.

    Your new role
The successful candidate will take responsibility for the supervision and coordination of minor multi-trade building works, responsive maintenance activities and small project works, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to a consistently high standard. The role will involve managing operatives and subcontractors, carrying out pre- and post-inspections, monitoring quality and performance, and ensuring customers receive an excellent service throughout the delivery of works.

    Key responsibilities include:
Supervising minor multi-trade building works and small projects.
Managing engineers, operatives and subcontractors across multiple sites.
Carrying out pre- and post-work inspections to ensure quality and compliance.
Programming, coordinating and monitoring maintenance activities.
Supporting the delivery of responsive repairs and planned maintenance programmes.
Ensuring works are completed within agreed timescales, budgets and quality standards.
Maintaining a strong focus on health and safety, customer satisfaction and service delivery.
Building positive relationships with tenants, customers and key stakeholders.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established organisation and play a key role in delivering high-quality maintenance services across a substantial housing portfolio.

    What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background within construction, property maintenance or social housing, combined with proven supervisory experience.

    Essential requirements include:
Demonstrable high-level experience managing engineers, operatives and subcontractors.
Strong technical knowledge of maintenance and repair works within a social housing environment.
Proven ability to deliver exceptional levels of customer service.
Sound knowledge of building maintenance services with a minimum of three years' relevant experience within the maintenance, construction or building services sector.
Experience programming, managing and delivering small projects and minor multi-trade building works.
Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to effectively prioritise workloads and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    Full, clean UK driving licence.

Experience within social housing repairs and planned maintenance environments would be highly advantageous.

    What you'll get in return
    £43,596 salary
Ongoing contract with strong potential for a permanent position
40-hour working week, Monday to Friday
35 days annual leave, including statutory holidays
    Company van and fuel card
Opportunity to join a respected organisation with a significant property portfolio
Varied and rewarding workload across repairs, maintenance and project works
Supportive working environment with opportunities for career development
Opportunity to make a genuine impact on homes and communities across Northern Ireland
