We currently have an exciting opportunity for a shift supervisor to join a growing manufacturing business working in their laser machine department.
If you have experience working on laser machinery and the ability to oversee other operators then this could be the next opportunity for you!
The shifts for this role are 6:00am – 2:00pm Monday – Friday.
Your day to day will include:
- Supervise the day-to-day operation of the laser cutting department
- Ensure daily production schedules are achieved safely, efficiently and on time.
- Allocate work and monitor workload across the team.
- Set up and operate laser cutting machinery where required
- Carry out first-off inspections and ensure products meet customer specifications.
- Monitor quality throughout production and address any issues promptly
- Work closely with Programming, Production Planning, Quality and Operations to ensure smooth workflow.
- Train, coach and develop members of the team.
- Promote and maintain a positive health and safety culture, ensuring all safe working procedures are followed
Overview of the role : The role will involve supervising the department to make sure it is being ran as effectively and efficiently as possible with minimal downtime.
The suitable candidate for this role should have:
-Previous experience within a supervisor or similar role.
-The ability to run laser machinery.
-A background working within an engineering or manufacturing business
